How to Run a Company Photo Challenge

Photo collage games for companies
Want to boost morale, spark creativity, and bond your team? A company photo challenge will do just that! It's a simple, and fun activity that can bring your team together and create a sense of shared experience. Plus, you'll end up with a fantastic collage of moments captured by your team members, showcasing the unique personalities and talents within your company.

What is a photo challenge?

A photo challenge is a team-building activity designed to create shared experiences and foster emotional connections between teammates. In a photo challenge, participants receive a prompt and respond with a photo. For example, participants might be prompted to share something that made them happy today. As they respond, all the photos are gathered into a team collage.

There are several ways to reward participants with points (which we will explore in this article) and decide the challenge winners. However, unlike other challenges, this is a less competitive activity, focused more on sharing fun moments with each other and contributing to the team effort.

Types of Photo Challenges:

  • Unified – Everyone receives the same prompt each day during the challenge. This is great for larger teams and makes it easy to manage.

  • Mashed – Each participant receives a random prompt every day. This is ideal for smaller teams, as it adds an element of surprise. Participants don’t know each other’s prompts and must guess them based on the photos posted.

How to get started

  1. Decide the start date and duration of your photo challenge.
  2. Create a list of prompts (or use the list provided in this article). You can choose to do daily or weekly prompts, but make sure to post them at the same time each day or week.
  3. Open your team’s Reaction Club app and post the prompt on the feed. Explain to your team that they need to post their responses on the feed.
  4. Select the winning photo each day based on creativity, likes, and comments received on the feed. Reward the daily winner with 5 points.
  5. At the end of the challenge, request the Reaction team to compile your team’s collage. Share the collage with your team and celebrate the fun moments together.

Eexample prompts you can use for your photo challenge:

  • Something that made you smile today.
  • Your favorite place to relax.
  • A healthy meal or snack you enjoyed.
  • A beautiful view from your day.
  • Something that represents teamwork.
  • An object that inspires you.
  • Your workspace or desk setup.
  • A photo of something you’re grateful for.
  • A hobby or activity you love.
  • Your favorite way to stay active.
  • A fun moment with family or friends.
  • A picture that captures your morning routine.
  • Something that helps you unwind after work.
  • A photo of something that made you laugh.

Encourage your team to use the reactions feature

Team members can tap on each other’s names in the Reaction Club app and share a funny GIF or photo to the feed. Our AI writer will help them come up with a topic and message, making it quick and easy. This will enrich your collage and encourage more people to participate, as it requires almost no effort.

Photo challenge rules

This game is simple and less competitive than other team-building games:

  1. Ask your team members to post up to one photo per day so everyone has a fair chance to win.
  2. Remind team members not to post photos of others without their permission to avoid misunderstandings.
  3. Set a clear start date and duration, and motivate your team to participate—such as offering a reward for reaching 20 points, etc.

Tips for success

  1. We recommend having a themed challenge, such as a Movember photo challenge or a summer holiday photo challenge.
  2. Choose a duration of a week, 10 days, or a month for the challenge—shorter challenges may not give everyone a chance to participate, and longer ones can become boring and harder to manage.
  3. Find champions—before starting the challenge, identify a few team members who are more likely to participate and ask them to be the first to post. This will help others feel more comfortable sharing their experiences.
